Brilliant, very pale straw colour with light green hues, near colourless on rim. The bouquet is very steely and fresh, and well-proportioned with lifted gooseberry fruit aromas, along with nettle and passionfruit elements and subtle fermentation esters. Dry and medium-bodied, tightly bound, bright and zesty flavours of gooseberries, nettles and tropical fruits form a fine, dry textural core. The palate is dry and crisp with mouthwatering acidity, balanced by the fruit sweetness, which results in a slippery flow of luscious flavours. Passionfruit, gooseberries and minerals feature on the moderately long, dry finish. This is a tight, crisp and mouth-wateringly dry Sauvignon Blanc. Serve with seafood and Asian fare over the next 2 years.
