Farrside By Farr Geelong Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from Australia - Victoria
Review Date : 01-Aug-2012
Clones 114, 115, 777. 667 and MV6 from the ‘Farrside' vineyard, 50% destemmed and indigenous yeast fermented. Aged 18 months in 50% new French oak. Dark, deep ruby-red with purple hues, this has a tight, concentrated bouquet of ripe dark raspberry fruit, densely packed and concentrated with complex dark herb and savoury elements. Full-bodied, rich, ripe dark raspberry fruit flavours are framed in a concentrated fully-structured palate. This has power, and drive, and plenty of brisk acidity. Lifted essence and confectionary-like whole berry characters emerge. This is a four-square wine, robust, singular and with plenty of energy, and it will remain so for 10+ years. 648 dozen made. 18.0/20 Jul 2012 RRP $69.99
