Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 29-Jun-2026
Bright, even, pale yellow gold. The nose is gently full, with aromas of citrus, apple, roasted almond, caramel and a touch of spice. Medium-bodied, aromas of apple, lemon and grapefruit, melded with roasted almond, spice and toast. Zingy acidity unfolds zesty spice, and the citrus core was enriched by oak elements, leaving a rich, toasty finish. Match with Bang Bang chicken and roasted pork over the next 3 years. Fruit from Wairau Valley, 30% was handpicked, whole bunch pressed, partially wild fermented in barrels, and 70% was machine harvested, field-destemmed, then fermented in stainless steel with selected yeast strains. 13% alc, 1.4 g/l RS. 17.5+/20 (89 pts) Jun 2026 RRP $24.25
