Bright, light golden-yellow colour with some depth, and pale edged, the bead persistent and moderately fine. The bouquet is soft and rounded with a tightly concentrated core of white stonefruits and florals finely entwined with elegant, complexing nutty aldehydes and subtle bready autolysis. The aromatics unfold delicate detail and nuance and build in intensity in the glass. Dry to taste, the palate features a refreshing creamy mousse and mouthfeel with a rounded heart of white and yellow stonefruits, piquant florals and nuances of savoury citrus. The fruit is complexed by brioche-like autolysis with background nutty aldehydes. The soft mouthfeel is balanced by refreshing, crisp acidity and underlined by fine textures which carry to a long, thirst-quenching, dry finish of stonefruits, bread and nuts. This is a rounded, creamy, but refreshing Chardonnay-based Champagne with stonefruit, complex nutty and bready flavours Serve as an aperitif and with seafood and poultry over the next 3 years. 95% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Noir from Cotes des Blanc and Valle de la Marne, base year 2012, fermented to 12.0% alc. an 2.0 g/L dosage, the wine undergoing MLF, and aged 36 months on lees, disgorged February 2016.
