Escarpment Martinborough Riesling 2010

Riesling from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Jun-2011
Fruit from the estate ‘Te Muna Road' vineyard and the ‘Cirrus Estate', south of Martinborough, fermented to 11.9% alc. and 19 g/L rs. Bright straw-yellow colour with light, green-gold hues. Soft and full on bouquet, this has aromas of yellow stonefruits, savoury limes and green apples, along with a faint toastiness. The wine is dry to taste, with sherbetty lime, honey, yellow florals and a touch of toast showing. Crisp and fresh with savoury acidity on the palate, there is depth to the line and length. The sweet and sour nature of this wine will make it a good match with Asian cuisine over the next 4-5 years. 17.5-/20 Jun 2011 RRP $24.00
