Escarpment Martinborough Pinot Gris 2012

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 11-Nov-2013
Brilliant, bright straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. The bouquet is soft, tending broad in an elegant style with aromas of stonefruits and pears along with some nutty, oxidative handling elements. Dryish to taste, the palate has subtle richness and unctuousness and a good core. The mouthfeel is soft, with gentle textures and linearity, the acidity restrained and balanced. The fruit is the feature and carries to a concentrated, lingering finish. This is a subtly rich and delicately layered Pinot Gris. Fully barrel-fermented to 13.5% alc and <2 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Oct 2013 RRP $TBA
