Eradus ‘Single Vineyard’ Awatere Valley Marlborough Pinot Gris 2013

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Aug-2013
Bright, soft pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim, The bouquet is elegant with aromatic and penetrating array of aromas of white stonefruits, exotic florals and honeysuckle, lifted with fresh fermentation esters, all expressed with delicacy. Dry to taste, this is tightly concentrated with flavours of white stonefruits and honeysuckle forming a refined, textural core. This has fruit extract and a hint of unctuousness, the mouthfeel balanced by fresh, lively acidity. Some underlying alcoholic power drives the palate to a very long, lingering, aromatically nuanced finish. This is a very elegant, dry Pinot Gris with very attractive and exotic aromatics. Match with fine Asian cuisine over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from the ‘Breloft’ vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and approx. 4 g/L RS. 18.0+/20 Aug 2013 RRP $17.99
