Eradus Marlborough Pinot Gris 2009

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Nov-2011
This is the second release of a Pinot Gris from Michiel and Hanna Eradus' ‘Breloft' vineyard in the Awatere Valley, and the variety looks to be as successful as the Sauvignon Blanc has been for them. Fermented to 13.0% alc and 10 g/L rs, this has a youthful, pale straw yellow colour, and an elegant, tightly constrained nose that is subtle, but exceptionally precise in its expression of pears and stonefruits. Off dry on palate, this shows classical spiced pear and yellow fruit flavours on a well-weighted, intense palate. This is a wine of clean and clear lines with a good, lengthy finish. Drink this wine of class with seafood and white meats over the next 2-3+ years. 18.0+/20 Nov 2010 RRP $21.50
