Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is voluminous, fragrant and mealy; aromas of pear and apple interweave white blossom and spice. Medium-bodied, aromas of pear and apple intertwine stonefruit, abundant white floral and delicate spice. The fruit shows concentrations with excellent acid freshness and lends a lengthy, refreshing finish. Talcum-textured phenolics contribute elegance and mouthfeel, carrying floral fragrance. This elegant Pinot Gris possesses lush fruit, floral details, a bright acid line and a fine texture mouthfeel. Match with white fish and pork over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from Te Awanga, 90% Pinot Gris, 10% Viognier, fermented in tank to 13.5% alc, aged 4 months on fine lees with occasional stirring. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) July 2022 RRP $24
