A blend Viognier, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer hand-picked and WBP, and fermented in stainless-steel, 5% of the Viognier in barrel, to 13.5% alc. and 8.5 g/L rs. Brilliant, very pale straw-yellow, very pale on rim. This has a very refined, elegant and beautifully delicate, aromatic nose of yellow florals with hints of exotic tropical fruits and rose-petals unfolding subtle herb elements. Off-dry to taste, very fine and delicate and subtly expressed flavours of rose-petals and exotic florals and fruits are interwoven harmoniously. This is very finely textured and smooth in mouthfeel, with restrained richness and hints of unctuousness, allied to fresh, lacy acidity. The flavours carry though to a near ethereal finish that lingers with beautiful floral notes. An intriguingly harmonious and beautifully refined, subtle, aromatic wine, this will match Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine over the next 4+ years. 18.5-/20 Jul 2012 RRP $22.00
