Bright, even, pale yellow with a slight green sheen. The nose is gentle, with aromas of apple, stonefruit, blossom and minerals. Medium-bodied, aromas of apple, apricot and blossom, melded with citrus sherbet, labneh and subtle cashew. The fruit is crisp and linear with chalky minerality, complemented by crunchy acidity and a softly creamy mouthfeel. Elegantly refreshing and lifted, with great balance and enticing tension. Match with prawn tempura and whitebait over the next 3-5 years. Fruit from Te Awanga (85%), Bridge Pa (12%) and Gimblett Gravels (2%), fermented in barrel and tank, aged on full lees for 11 months, 20% new French oak.
