Eight Ranges Central Otago Pinot Rosé 2017

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 22-Dec-2017
Moderately deep cerise-pink colour, lighter on the rim with youthful purple hues. The nose is full and well-packed with aromatic raspberry fruit entwined with bright red florals and nuances of confectionary, and lifted fresh fermentation esters. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses deep and intense fruit flavours of raspberries and cream with subtle notes of fresh herbs, bright and vibrant floral elements entwined with confectionary. The palate features a firm, tight and thirst-quenching core, flowing with good energy along a fine-textured line with underlying lacy acidity. The flavours carry to a firm, lingering finish. This is a firm, taut and well-concentrated dry rosé with raspberry and cream, dark florals and confectionary notes. Match with antipasto and tapas over the next 2+ years. Hand-picked clone 115 Pinot Noir fruit, fermented to 13.0% alc. and 5 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Dec 2017 RRP $27.00
