Eight Ranges Central Otago Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 22-Dec-2017
☆☆☆☆☆
Bright, very pale straw colour, near colourless on the edge. The nose is softly fresh with restrained aromas of white stonefruits and pears, along with subtle notes of exotic white florals and pears with suggestions of honeysuckle. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a refined and elegantly concentrated core of white stonefruits and white florals, and nuances of pears and honeysuckle. The mouthfeel is refreshing with a fine, firm line of light phenolic textures and integrated acidity. The fine flows along a taut core, leading to a dry, aromatic finish. This is a taut, refined dry Pinot Gris with a core of white stonefruits and pears with fragrant florals. Match with mild Asian fare over the next 3 years. Hand-picked clone 2015 fruit, WBP and cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 6.5 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Dec 2017 RRP $27.00
