Earth’s End Central Otago Rosé 2011

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 22-May-2013
Bright, light pink colour with a pale rime, some very light purple hues apparent. The nose is voluminous in presence, but subtle and delicate in fruit expression, showing fresh strawberry fruit with some confectionary lift and a minerally note. Medium-dry to taste, delicate strawberry flavours and sweet red floral elements are supported by good weight and body resulting in a full, rounded mouthfeel. Some alcohol power is complemented by the residual sugar, but balanced by crisp acidity. The palate carries through to a moderately sustained finish with attractive, subtle sweetness. Made from Pinot Noir fruit from the organic 'Morrison' vineyard in Lowburn, stainless-steel fermented to 13.5% alc. and 5 g/L rs.  Match with dim sum, tapas and cured meats, or as an aperitif in the sun, over the next 18 months – 2 years. 16.0+/20 Mar 2012 RRP $19.50
