Earth’s End Central Otago Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 22-May-2013
The second label of Mount Edward featuringt ruby figures performing the ‘Ka Mate' haka, symbolizing New Zealanders' spirit of passion, vigour and identity. Dark, deep, ruby-red in colour with light purple hues on edge, this has a full, soft bouquet of dried and fresh herb-tinged violet-like, dark berry fruit. Medium-bodied at 13.5% alc. this shows bright berry fruits with some herb, plum and floral flavours, the acidity provides good lift and liveliness. The palate is supported by moderate tannin extraction that is very supple, allowing the fruitiness to feature. Drink this with antipasto, pasta, poultry and pork over the next 3-4+ years. 17.0/20 Jun 2011 RRP $26.95
