Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago

The second tier label of Mount Edward, featuring the ‘Ka Mate' haka. Dark, deep, purple hued ruby-red in colour, this has a bright and up-front nose of raspberries, dark cherry liqueur, red plum jam and confectionary. Medium weighted at 13.5% alc., this has a soft, juicy palate highlighting sweet raspberry and jam flavours. The extraction is modest, allowing the fruitiness to come to the fore. Firm acidity finishes this attractively easy wine. Drink with pastas, pizza and poultry over the next 2-3+ years. 16.5+/20 Mar 2011 RRP $26.95
