Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 12-May-2022
Medium ruby-red with a garnet hue, lighter on the rim. The bouquet is integrated, gently lifting sour cherries, dried strawberries and a hint of plums, pine interweave mushroom and forest floor. Medium-light bodied, vibrant acidity carries sour cherries, dried strawberries and plums, unveiling medicinal herbs, lavender, mushroom and forest floor. The flavours are delicate and enticing; lively, lacy acidity draws a long line with powdery minerals and supple tannins to a long, peppery finish. This hauntingly beautiful Pinot Noir shows delicate fruit, acid precision, and complex alluring development. Match with foie gras stuffed pigeon and smoked duck over the next 2-4 years. 13% alc. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) May 2022 RRP $37.50
