Dusky Goose ‘Rambouillet Vineyard’ Oregon Pinot Noir 2010

Pinot Noir from USA
Review Date : 02-Aug-2013
Dark ruby-red with slight purple hues of youth. This has a fresh and aromatic nose with an array of berry fruits and dark red florals, along with complexing layers of dark and fresh herbal notes. Medium-full bodied, juicy, lush and fleshy fruit flavours are the feature on the palate. Dark raspberries and dark herbs unfold some funky, meaty notes. The acidity and grainy tannins grow to show a firm, linear drive through mid-palate and leading to a tight finish with positive fruit sweetness. Sweet fruited and lush on impact, the structure emerges and carries the wine. 5-7 years. Fruit from the ‘Rambouillet Vineyard’, Dundee Hills AVA, fermented to 13.9% alc., the wine aged 10 months in 30% new French oak. 155 cases made. 18.5-/20 Jul 2013 RRP USD $65.00
