Dry River Martinborough Pinot Gris 2009

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 02-Oct-2015
14.0% alc., 14.0 g/L RS, TA 5.8 g/L, pH 3.44. Brilliant, light straw-yellow colour with youthful green hues. This has a full, voluminous nose of ripe yellow stonefruits complexed by minerally lees and reductive complexities, along with honied elements. Medium-dry to medium in sweetness, this is fine and elegantly proportion, quite tightly bound still with excellent linearity and a fine textural thread. The flavours of stonefruits are complexed by mineral and reductive lees elements, with suggestions of honey underlying. As the wine flows, it grows in richness and develops an oily, unctuousness. Fine acidity lends cut and the wine leads to a long, lingering, dryish finish. An intriguing wine with freshness and complexity. 18.5-/20 Sep 2015 RRP $N/A
