Mendoza clone Chardonnay from vines averaging 20 y.o. from the ‘Dry River Estate' and ‘Craighall' vineyards, fully barrel-fermented to 13.65% alc. the wine aged 9 months in 20% new 300 L hogsheads with monthly lees-stirring and no MLF. Bright straw-yellow colour with light green-golden hues and a pale edge. This has a tight, concentrated nose showing finesse and stylish citrus, apple and nectarine-like fruit aromas laced with mealy, spicy, nutty oak notes. Medium full-bodied, this has concentrated and tightly bound citrus and white peach fruit interwoven with subtle, spicy oak, underlined by fresh, crisp, lemony acidity. The wine has immense clarity and drive, the fruit showing great liveliness, which carries through to a long, delicate oak infused finish.
