Fruit from 12 y.o. vines. Cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 14.5% alc. and 7 g/L RS, with 5.5 g/L TA and 3.5 pH. Bright straw-yellow colour with light green-gold hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is elegant and restrained, revealing exotic florals, nuances of apricots and white stonefruits, with lifted citrus zest elements. Dry to taste and full-bodied, intensely penetrating flavours of exotic floral and musk combine with stonefruit interest, and grow in sweetness and richness. The flavours are encased by fine, phenolic textures and driven by the alcohol. The mouthfeel is lively with fresh, lacy acidity underlining the textures, and the palate flows to a very long, aromatic finish. This is a full-bodied, tightly bound, pure Viognier with exotic florals and a well-textured, lively mouthfeel. Serve with seafood and poultry over the next 3-4+ years. 17.5+/20 Sep 2013 RRP $47.00
