Dry River ‘Craighall’ Martinborough Riesling 2009

Riesling from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 02-Oct-2015
11.5% alc., 5.0 g/L RS, TA 8.5 g/L, pH 3.0. Bright straw-yellow with slight lemon-gold hues. The bouquet is still very tight and well concentrated with intense aromas of toast and minerals. This has finesse and intensity on the nose, now beginning to show proper secondary development and interest. Rich complexities here with minerals showing. Shy at this stage. Dry to taste, beautifully soft-textured, the core opening to show some breadth, quite ethereal in volume. Citrus fruits, honey, toast and minerals, quite complex. Lovely softness of texture and mouthfeel, yet still thirst-quenching acidity, and very long on the finish. This is developing real interest and richness, but retains Riesling character. 19.0-/20 Sep 2015 RRP$N/A
