‘VVS’ means ‘Very Very Special’. Pinot Noir fruit clones 5. Abel, 115, hand-picked and given 48 hours skin contact, 30% saignee, fermented to 13.1% alc. and <1 g/L RS. Bright pale pink colour with sligh purple hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is very clean and fresh, with tight and pure aromas of strawberries and cherries, lifted by red florals, revealing a subtle herbal and mineral core and detailed fragrant floral nuances. Dry to taste and elegantly proportioned, intense and penetrating flavours of strawberries and cream are enlivened by elevated acidity. The flavours unfold some raspberry lift and the palate line is carried by very fine phenolics and zesty acidity. This has good energy and linearity carrying through to a dry, strawberry and raspberry nuanced finish. This is a clear, racy rosé with delicate strawberries and cream flavours and a fine dry texture . Serve with antipasto and in al fresco dining over the next 2 years. 17.5/20 Feb 2014 RRP $28.00
