Bright, even, pale ruby-red colour, lighter on the rim. This has a light and tightly bound nose with fresh, primary aromas of red cherry fruit intermixed with fresh herbs. This is clean, fruit-focussed and uncomplicated in expression. Medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of red cherries and herbs are clean, light and juicy, providing a soft and plush mouthfeel. The fruit is supported by light, supple tannins and modest extraction, balancing the light fruit depth. Fresh, underlying acidity lends good energy and som drive, and the wine flows to a light, dry, cherry and herb nuanced finish. This is a fresh, clean, fruit-focussed Givry red with cherry and herb flavours and a balanced mouthfeel. Serve with firm-fleshed seafood, poultry and antipasto over the next 3-4 years. Pinot Noir fruit from Givry, indigenous yeast fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 12-15 months in 10% new oak barrels. 16.5/20 May 2016 RRP $40.99
