Dr Renwick Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 18-Jun-2012
Cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 11.8% alc. and 3.4 g/L rs, the wine aged on lees. Bright, light straw colour with some pale green hues, light on rim. The bouquet is light and fresh with uncomplicated gooseberry fruit aromas lifted with hints of tropical fruits. Dry, clean and fresh, light gooseberryish fruit is presented simply, forming a good palate line, with some depth. There is mouthfeel and presence, with good acid balance. The wine has a crisp dry finish with moderate length and restrained fruitiness. This is a clean, fresh and uncomplicated Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with the body to match seafood, vegetables and salads over the next 18 months to 2 years. 15.5-/20 Jun 2012 RRP $15.20
