Double Cove Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Aug-2014
Bright, even, pale straw colour with green hues. This has a fresh, light and slender nose of fine and lifted aromatic gooseberry fruit with subtle hints of tropical fruits and a suggestion of minerals. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, up-front and attractively lifted flavours of gooseberry fruit are expressed with purity and clarity. The palate is gentle in texture and the mouthfeel is bright with lively, cutting acidity. The wine flows smoothly and is near slippery, carrying through to an elegant, mouthwatering finish. This is an elegant and refreshing, smooth flowing, attractively youthful Sauvignon Blanc. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Wairau and Awatere Valleys cool-fermented in stainless-steel. 16.5/20 Aug 2014 RRP $14.50
