Blended Red from Spain
Review Date : 26-Mar-2018
Full, very dark, black-hued purple-red colour, a little lighter edged, youthful in appearance. The nose is soft and gently voluminous with aromas of dark-red cherry and berry fruit with an amalgam of nutty and resinous elements at the core. The aromatics grow in intensity with aeration unveiling herbal nuances. Medium-full bodied, the palate is intense and vibrant with a sweet-fruited heart showing red cherry and berry fruit and subtle notes of herbs and currants along with nutty and resin elements. The fruit is lively with light, fine-grained tannin structure and fresh, balanced acidity. The wine carries with energy to a light, lingering finish. This is an intense an vibrant, sweet-fruited La Mancha red with herb, nutty and resinous notes on a fine, grainy-textured palate. Match with tapas and roasted or grilled red meat dishes over the next 3+ years. Organically and biodynamically farmed Tempranillo and Petit Verdot from ‘La Mancha, fermented to 13.5% alc.
