Domaine Rewa ‘Rosie’ Central Otago Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 30-Jan-2015
Bright, light pink colour with youthful purple hues, lighter on rim. The nose is fresh with lifted strawberries and cream aromas, along with red florals and mouthwatering cranberry notes. Confectionary elements blossom in the glass. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of strawberries and cream are lush and succulent, revealing raspberry, cranberry and redcurrant detail along with a fruit pastille confectionary layer. A subtle phenolic, textural line brings a balancing dryness, and the palate has soft acidity contributing to a dry, moderately sustained finish. This is a lush, off-dry rosé with flavours of strawberries and cream and confectionary. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. Hand-picked clone 5 Pinot Noir fruit destemmed and WBP, fermented to 13.0% alc. and 6 g/L RS. 165 dozen made. 17.0+/20 Jan 2015 RRP $22.00
