Bright, even straw-yellow colour with lemony hues. This has an elegantly concentrated nose with bright and intense aromas of citrus and white stonefruits interwoven with an amalgam of creamy barrel-ferment and nutty oak notes along with subtle lemon-curd MLF elements. Medium-full bodied, the palate has fresh and lively flavours of citrus and stonefruits entwined with creamy and nutty oak elements and lemon-curd MLF detail. The palate has good depth and intensity, and is enlivened by brisk acidity. The wine flows with good drive and energy along a fine, phenolic-threaded line, leading to a moderately long, elegant and nuanced finish. This is an elegantly concentrated Chardonnay with good intensity of citrus and stonefruit flavours harmoniously melded with creamy and nutty oak. Match with seafood and creamy-sauced white meat dishes over the next 4 years. Hand-picked fruit, WBP and fully barrel-fermented by indigenous yeasts to 13.9% alc., the wine aged 9 months in 36% new French oak barriques undergoing batonnage and full MLF. Approx. 260 dozen made. 18.0+/20 Apr 2017 RRP $40.00 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
