Fruit hand-picked and WBP, barrel-fermented to 14.2% alc., the wine aged 8 months in 25% new French oak barriques, the wine undergoing MLF and batonnage. Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, paler edged. The nose is elegant and finely presented with harmoniously concentrated aromas of citrus and stonefruits melded with creamy, nutty barrel-ferment notes and lemon curd MLF, underlined by a steely freshness. Medium-full bodied, a concentrated and tight core of citrus fruit integrated with toasty oak, nuts, mealy elements and buttery MLF shows with depth and weight. This has plenty of interest and complexing inputs. The mouthfeel is rounded, with dry textures and soft acidity, the flow driven by some alcohol power. The flavours recede gently, leading to light, dry finish. This is a complex and well-integrated Chardonnay with a strong core and line, with soft, dry textures.
