Domaine Rene Muré Crémant d’Alsace Brut NV, France

Sparkling Wine from France - Alsace
Review Date : 31-Mar-2022
Bright, even, pale lemon. The bubbles are fine and consistent. The nose is softly full, packed with apple, creamy custard and a hint of marzipan, underlying citrus, stonefruit and bread dough. Medium-bodied, aromas of baked apple, lemon rind intermixed stonefruit, creamy custard and marzipan linger to linearity. The mousse is forthy with good energy. Vibrant acidity enlivens the lightly textured palate, drives focus, and unfolds citrus peels aroma, adding layers to the youthful palate. This is a youthful Methode Traditionelle and fresh fruit, creamy autolysis complexity and a moderately long finish. Match with fish grill and white meat over the next 3+ years. A blend of 25% Pinot Blanc, 25% Pinot Auxerrois, 15% Riesling, 25% Pinot Gris and 10% Pinot Noir, on lees for 12 months, 12.5% alc. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) Mar 2022 RRP $32
