Domaine Pierre Damoy Chambertin ‘Clos de Beze’ Grand Cru 2006

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Aug-2012
Based in Gevrey-Chambertin. From 5.36 ha, 13.0% alc. Dark, deep, ruby-red with youthful purple hues. The nose is tight and concentrated with primary dark berry fruit aromas, the bouquet combining density with elegance. Very tightly concentrated and bound on palate, ripe, sweet and rich fruit shows through along with significant secondary, savoury game flavours, and some brettanomyces complexities. This has lusciousness and good acid expression for drive, but fine-grained tannins pick up on mid-palate, carrying though to a dry finish. 8-10+ years. 18.5/20 Aug 2012
