Domaine Francois Lamarche Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2009

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 29-Apr-2012
1.36 ha, three parcels contributing, two from the top of the site from opposite sides, one from the bottom. Dark, deep, ruby-red with youthful purple hues. The nose is elegant and stylish with aromas of dark red berry frits and soft red fruits with lifted floral perfumes and oak spices. Medium-full bodied, the palate shows subtle flavours of dark red berry fruits unfolding layers of mushrooms and herbs, meat and oak spices. Bright acidity enlivens the palate, providing cut, enhancing the drive and line from the fine-grained tannins. The oak component is significant, but builds with the fruit. This is a subtle, finely structured wine that will open up and develop for 10 years plus. 19.0-/20 Apr 2012 RRP $169.00
