Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er ‘Cherbaudes’ 2007

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 14-Mar-2012
Ruby coloured with good depth. This has a complex, savoury nose with dried herb and soft red fruit aromas, along with resiny oak, the fruit definably secondary in expression. An elegantly proportioned, medium-weight wine, the fruit is a little restrained, and the palate rests on its texture and structure. Fine, firm tannins are backed by firm acidity, resulting in a grainy textured, slightly dry and grippy palate. This will be slow to evolve, say over the next 6-8+ years, and be best with meaty food.  18.0-/20  Mar 2012
