Domaine Faiveley Rully ‘Les Villeranges’ Blanc 2010

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 08-Jul-2014
Full straw-yellow colour with some golden hues, lighter edged. This has a soft, voluminous bouquet with good depth, the aromatics are well-integrated, with nuts, honey and stonefruits melding harmoniously, showing some richness. Dry to taste, rich, lush and near-unctuous flavours of ripe yellow stonefruits and savoury nuts feature on the palate. The flavours are honied from secondary development, and the mouthfeel rounded and with good presence. A little grip underlines the fruit, carrying through to a dry, nutty, lingering finish. Beginning to drink on its plateau, but will hold another 3-4 years. From 3.39 ha, vines up to 23 y.o., aged 11 months in vat with batonnage. Average 1, 085 cases made. 17.0+/20 Jul 2014 RRP $38.99
