Domaine Faiveley Mercurey Blanc 2012

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 08-Jul-2014
Bright, pale straw-yellow with slight green hues. The nose is soft and gentle with up-front and straightforward aromas of white stonefruits and nuts, along with citrussy elements. The mouthfeel is soft and fruit-driven, showing uncomplicated flavours of citrus fruits, herbs and minerals, the palate with body and fresh acid cut. Some tropical fruit elements emerge in the glass. The wine follows a fine phenolic line leading to a light, minerally, flinty finish. Drink over the next 3-4 years. From 2.01 ha, vines up to 38 y.o., 20% fermented and aged 11 months in barrel with batonnage. Average 800 dozen made. 16.5+/20 Jul 2014 RRP $39.99
