Domaine Faiveley Mercurey 1er ‘Clos des Myglands’ 2008

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 17-Jul-2012
A ‘monopole' wine, aged in 25-30% new oak. Bright, vibrant, light, purple-hued ruby-red colour. The nose is fresh and aromatic with brackish raspberry fruit aromas with herbal and earthy elements. Medium-bodied, this has soft, light but refreshing herb-infused fruit flavours of savoury dark red berry fruits based on a sinewy textured palate. The acidity is a feature and lends a crisp raciness, brightening the fruit. This has lusciousness allied to acidity, and a suppleness to the graininess. One to drink over the next 4-6 years. 17.0+/20 Jul 2012 RRP $67.95
