Domaine du Bouscat ‘Caduce’ Bordeaux Superieur 2010

Merlot from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 03-Dec-2012
Sainr-Romain la Virvee property owned by Jean Pierre Dubernard with Claude Gros as consultant. 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec. 14.5% alc. Very full, near saturated black-red colour. The nose is one of restraint, but with volume, showing even aromas of ripe dark plum and berry aromas, unfolding fragrant dark floral and fresh herb and blackcurrant notes. Medium-full bodied, this is elegantly proportioned with a vibrantly fruity core of dark plum and berry fruits. This is very well-balanced with fine, granular tannins in harmony with the subtle acidity and fruit sweetness. The palate flows smoothly to a fine-textured and lingering finish. This is a well-balanced, elegantly sized Bordeaux wine that will provide accessible pleasure over the next 6-8 years. Match with roasted lamb or beef. 17.0+/20 Dec 2012 RRP $19.95
