Domaine de Bellene Sauvigny-les.Beaune ‘Vieilles Vignes’ 2010

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 04-Feb-2013
Moderately deep ruby-red colour with slight purple hues. The bouquet is soft with breadth and ripe red berry fruit aromas combined with a little earthiness and game, the nose building in depth and density. Full and openly accessible, a sauvage element to the fruit is apparent, but harmonious in presentation with sweetness and savoury game, oak and spice notes. The tannin framework is in balance, providing relatively fine-grained grip and mouthfeel. The fruit sweetness holds up and carries through to a solid, chunky finish with good acidity and energy. This is a classical Savigny-les-Beaune that will see 5-7 years of age easily. 17.0+/20 Jan 2013
