Domaine Chevrot Maranges 1er ‘Les Clos Roussots’ 2010

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 07-Mar-2014
Full, even, black-hued ruby-red colour. The bouquet is finely expressed with tight and intense aromas of black cherry and earthy fruits, the nose showing some purity and a degree of refinement, revealing fragrant red florals, liquorice and resinous oak elements. Medium-bodied, the palate combines dark red cherry fruit with a little background oak along with chalky, mineral notes. The mouthfeel is marked by fine tannin linearity and fresh, enlivening acidity. This has sweetness, texture and finesse with a very long and sustained finish. Quite classical in proportion. 6-8+ years easily. From 0.35 ha, 50 y.o. vines on clay soils. 17.5+/20 Feb 2014 RRP $45.00
