Domain Road ‘The Water Race’ Bannockburn Central Otago Dry Riesling 2014

Riesling from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 10-Mar-2016
Brilliant, light straw colour with slight green hues, pale edged. The nose is finely proportioned with deep and penetrating aromas of white florals, limes and the beginnings of complexing secondary toasty nuances, with mineral clarity. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, this has a tightly concentrated core of lime fruit, white florals, toast and minerals. The mouthfeel is soft and refined in texture, with soft acidity and a dry linearity. This has good energy and flow, leading to an elegant, lingering finish of florals citrus fruit and toast elements. This is an elegant, tightly concentrated and fine-textured dry Riesling with lime, floral, toast and mineral flavours. Seve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 4-5+ years. Hand-picked fruit from the ‘Domain Road’ vineyard, WBP and tank fermented to 12.5% alc. and 5.3 g/L RS, TA 6.8 g/L and pH 2.98. 18.0/20 Mar 2016 RRP $25.00
