Domain Road ‘Duffers Creek’ Bannockburn Central Otago Riesling 2013

Riesling from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 19-Oct-2014
Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour with light green hues on edge. The nose is soft with delicate and pure aromas of limes and white florals, along with honeysuckle that open in volume, showing harmonious mineral elements. Medium to taste and light-medium bodied, the flavour of limes florals and honey are integrated and finely expressed. The fruit is underlined by a taut, but refined line with some phenolic textures providing structure and linearity. The mouthfeel is balanced. Fresh, lacy acidity adds to the energy and carries the wine to a delicate, minerally finish with soft honied notes. This is a delicately fruited, medium Riesling with good balance and freshness, and a taut line. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian fare over the next 4-5 years. Hand-picked fruit, WBP and fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 19 g/L RS, TA8.09 g/L and pH 2.97. 18.0+/20 Oct 2014 RRP $25.00
