Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Marlborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Dec-2020
Bright, pale straw-yellow with some depth, even colour throughout. The nose is soft and vibrant, fresh aromas of lime, guava, feijoa melded with fresh herbs and crunchy minerals along with lifting spices. Medium-light bodied, an opulent weight carries aromas of guava, feijoa and lime, interweave subtle white pepper and fresh herbs. The wine has a positive texture line which is smooth and round-edged, carries pristine fruit and spices across the palate with poise. The fruit has balanced ripeness, elegantly showing well-proportioned herbaceousness and lush fruit without overtly explicit. This is an elegantly presented Sauvignon Blanc with balanced flavours of tropical fruit, spices and herbs on a smooth opulent texture line. Match with whitebait fritters and crabcakes over the next 2-4 years. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Nov 2020 RRP $28
