Dog Point Marlborough Pinot Noir 2006

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 30-Nov-2014
Ruby-red with garnet hues. The bouquet is full in volume and densely concentrated with ripe aromas of dark red berry fruits unfolding waves of complex secondary savoury detail. This has plenty of energy and vitality. Beautifully rich with a fine-textured palate that unveils sweetly ripe red berry and plum fruits intermixed with dried herbs, undergrowth, mushrooms and earth, this has tension and liveliness. The acidity is fresh and the tannins very fine-grained. While already complex and layered, this retains proportion and the potential keep well. 13.5% alc., the wine aged 18 months in new and seasoned French oak. 18.5+/20 Oct 2014 RRP $N/A
