Dog Point Marlborough Pinot Noir 2004

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 30-Nov-2014
Even ruby-red colour with garnet hues, moderately deep. The bouquet is elegant with delicate, cool fragrances of red cherries, florals and perfumes, along with dried herb and earthy secondary notes. Elegant on palate, quite slender, but with a good core, this has red fruits with herbs and suggestions of stalk alongside florals. The extraction is modest and fine-textured with the acidity a feature, enlivening the mouthfeel. This has a racy, slim finish with dried herbal notes. A cooler more elegant wine still holding up. 14.0% alc., the wine aged 18 months in new and seasoned French oak. 17.5/20 Oct 2014 RRP $N/A
