Dog Point Marlborough Chardonnay 2008

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 30-Nov-2014
Light golden yellow colour with straw hues. This has a harmoniously rich nose with aromas of rioe citrus and stonefruits, just hinting at secondary development, showing barrel-ferment cream and nutty notes, and oak vanilla and toasty elements. Smooth and seamless on palate, complex secondary fruit flavours are appearing, with yellow stonefruits, a layer of gunflint, and nuts, all melding evenly. The acidity is soft and the mouthfeel is gentle in flow. This has come together and approaching its plateau. 14.5% alc. and 1.7 g/L RS, 18 months in 15% new French oak. 18.5/20 Oct 2014 RRP $N/A
