Dog Point Marlborough Chardonnay 2005

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 30-Nov-2014
Bright, light golden-yellow colour. This has a full and even nose, well-integrated and broad in expression, with ripe citrus fruits melded with plenty of creamy and vanilla barrel elements. Secondary aromas pervade with savoury, nutty waves. Full-bodied and sweet-fruited, some residual sugar (?), this is very broad and mouthfilling, with excellent depth and density. Soft textures and quite unctuous. Layers of complexing flint and nuts, fully mature now, the finish still showing sweetness. This will remain on this plateau for a few years yet. 14.0% alc. and 4.8 g/L RS, 18 months in 25% new French oak. 18..0+/20 Oct 2014 RRP $N/A
