Dog Point Marlborough Chardonnay 2004

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 30-Nov-2014
Light golden straw colour. The bouquet is soft and elegant, with savoury stonefruits, cream, butter, oak and nutty notes, the aromatics gentle and even. This has good presence, the mouthfeel soft and mellow, the flavours quiet in expression, and now fully integrated. Beginning to flatten, the acidity behind the breadth, but still offering a touch of vitality. The flows gently to a light, nutty and citrussy nuanced finish. Very gentle and integrated, and flattening out, but still with vestiges of freshness. 14.0% alc. and 2.6 g/L RS, 18 months in 25% new French oak. 17.5/20 Oct 2014 RRP $N/A
