Distant Range Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 07-Feb-2014
Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. The nose is soft and restrained with fresh aromas of ripe gooseberry fruit with a little lifted exotic tropical fruit notes. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, gently expressed, up-front flavours of ripe green stonefruits intermingle with limes and fragrant herbs. The acidity is ripe and soft and the palate follows a fine-textured line that leads to a light, dry and soft finish with gooseberry nuances. This is a soft and gently-textured, ripe Sauvignon Blanc with fragrant green stonefruit flavours. Match with seafood, poultry and Asian fare over the next 2 years. Hawke’s Bay fruit cool-fermented to 13.3% alc. 16.5/20 Feb 2014 RRP $20.00
