Discovery Point Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Sep-2011
Bright straw-yellow in colour, this has a full nose of ripe capsicums and gooseberries, just starting to soften and show a touch of secondary bean character, in the most positive way. Dry, with good weight on attack, the gooseberry fruit is mouthfilling and enlivened by good acidity, yet there is a roundness to the texture. The wine has a long, slippery finish, and will continue to offer fresh drinking over the next 2+ years. Fruit from Rapaura and Dillons Point, fermented to 13.9% alc. and 3.4 g/L rs, aged 5 months on lees.  Sep 2011
